Upgrade your existing FF Transmissions synchro gearset to a high-performance Dog-Engagement Style setup. Designed for serious track and drag racing applications, this conversion kit delivers lightning-fast, ultra-durable shifts thanks to an aggressive 5-tooth engagement window.

With an integrated strain gauge setup, this kit enables no-lift, clutchless shifting during competition by momentarily cutting ignition to unload the drivetrain.

⚠️ CRITICAL COMPATIBILITY NOTICE

  • REQUIRES FF TRANSMISSION SPLINED SYNCHRO GEARS: Fits ONLY our brand-specific synchro gears featuring splines.

  • NOT COMPATIBLE WITH: OEM gears, aftermarket brand gears, or older versions of our helical gears without splines.

  • NO GEARS INCLUDED: This kit contains conversion components only.

🛠️ Installation & Technical Guidelines

Assembly Instructions

  1. 1st & 2nd Gears: Remove the original synchro engagement. Install the new dog rings onto 1st and 2nd gear with the step facing toward the gear side. Place the provided ring spacer on top of the gear cone. Make sure its flush with the top of the gears original cone.

  2. 3rd & 4th Gears: Remove synchro engagement from 3rd and 4th gears. Install the dedicated dog rings in the correct position along with the included hub and slider assembly.

  3. Reshimming: Complete gearsets require both assembly stacks to be fully reshimmed upon installation.

    • Mainshaft Endplay Spec: 0.008" – 0.010"

    • Note: Looser clearances and endplay tolerances are preferred for proper dog-gear stack operation.

⚠️ Operation & Safety Warnings

  • Normal Street Driving: MUST use the clutch during standard driving conditions.

  • Strain Gauge Setup: Proper strain gauge calibration is mandatory for no-lift shifting. Incorrect settings, poor tuning, or user error will result in premature wear or total damage to the dog teeth and engagement system.

  • Improper Assembly: Incorrect dog ring orientation or shimming tolerances will cause immediate component failure. Damaged components caused by improper setup or mis-shifting are user error.
